Photography has always been a passion of mine. I started photography in back in middle school and have been hooked ever sense. When I travel to and from my hometown in Japan, you’ll almost always see me with my camera. My first professional film camera was a Minolta that my father bought as a gift. Back then I took pictures of my favorite subjects -my two dogs, Mocha (a Dachshund/Poodle Mix) and Cecil (an Italian Greyhound).

To this day I still enjoy taking their photos, but I’ve added more members to my pack. As a wife to a loving husband and a parent to two young boys there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t take a few shots of them. I love capturing those innocent moments of their lives.

my photography style

I specialize in natural light photography. I enjoy using natural daylight to create beautiful pictures. It take a lot of good planning and timing to achieve the best natural light photo. I’ll be honest with you and say that as much as I would like to make an entire session free from other sources of light (and in MOST cases that is achieved), it doesn’t mean that I won’t go into my bag and take out another form of light source during a session.

and The reason behind this

As a photographer, I want to create and capture the best photograph for myself and my clients. That’s where my value comes in and why I love doing what I do. A photograph is a moment in time where everything stands still and there’s a sense of perfection when it comes to the lighting, the subjects, and the environment. This one brief moment is something I attempt to grab in every shot.
